Packaging Requirements
Proper packaging protects your items during transit. Please follow these guidelines:
- Use sturdy, corrugated cardboard boxes appropriate for the weight and size of contents.
- Wrap all fragile items individually with bubble wrap or foam padding and mark the package as FRAGILE.
- Fill empty spaces inside the box with packing peanuts, crumpled paper, or air pillows to prevent shifting.
- Seal all seams with strong packing tape — do not use masking tape or string.
- Ensure the shipping label is clearly visible, flat, and secured on the largest face of the package.
- Remove or cover any old shipping labels to avoid misrouting.
Note: Young's Delivery Service LLC is not liable for damage resulting from inadequate packaging. Ensure your items are packed to withstand normal handling.
Size & Weight Limits
- Maximum weight per package: 150 lbs
- Maximum length: 108 inches
- Combined girth + length: 165 inches max
- Oversized or pallet shipments require prior approval
- Contact us for freight quotes on heavy loads
Delivery Timeframes
- Same-Day: Order by 11:00 AM for same-day delivery
- Standard: 1–2 business days within Illinois
- Express: 2–4 hour priority window available
- Delivery windows are estimates and may vary due to traffic or weather
- You'll receive real-time tracking notifications
Pickup & Delivery Procedures
- Ensure someone is available at the pickup address during the scheduled window.
- For delivery, if no one is available, the driver will attempt re-delivery or leave a notice.
- Signature may be required for high-value or fragile deliveries.
- Accurate addresses including apartment/suite numbers must be provided at the time of booking.
- Address corrections after dispatch may incur additional fees.
Liability & Insurance
Young's Delivery Service LLC provides basic coverage for all shipments. For high-value items, additional declared value coverage is recommended.
- Standard liability: up to $100 per shipment unless additional coverage is purchased.
- Claims for loss or damage must be reported within 48 hours of delivery.
- Proof of value (invoice, receipt) is required for all claims.
- We are not liable for delays caused by weather, road closures, or acts of nature.
